On Sunday, a group of eight divers departed from Boynton Beach with South Florida Diving. The day began with a memorable surprise when a pod of Atlantic Spotted Dolphins accompanied the boat for several minutes, jumping alongside it. This promising encounter set the stage for what was expected to be a special day of diving.

On our first dive, we explored the Castor wreck, located at depths between 85 and 110 feet. We faced strong currents, but this didn't prevent us from having an incredible encounter with magnificent Goliath Groupers. The surface of the shipwreck was a beautiful mosaic of vibrant corals and sponges. We were also treated to the spectacle of large schools of fish and a pair of barracudas feeding on them.

The second dive was at a Three Fingers Reef, where we navigated moderate currents moving north. The reef was teeming with a variety of colorful fish, green moray eels, and large sponges. The most surprising sightings were a school of Atlantic Spadefish sheltering from the current and a magnificent nurse shark that showcased its agile movements.

It was another fantastic day of diving, made even better by the unique camaraderie of our Active Divers group.
