This past Sunday, a group of nine early-bird divers set out with Rainbow Reef for an early morning exploration of the Benwood Wreck in Key Largo. The dive took place at a depth of 25 to 45 feet, making for a perfect shallow-water wreck dive.

The site was teeming with life. We were fortunate to see numerous stingrays foraging for food in the sandy areas surrounding the shipwreck. A highlight was spotting a massive goliath grouper tucked away and resting beneath a section of the wreckage. We also found several hermit crabs scuttling around and were surrounded by impressive schools of both yellowtail snapper and porkfish

The Benwood is an excellent option for anyone looking to explore a shipwreck at a shallow depth, and today's dive was a perfect example of the vibrant marine life that calls it home.

Beautiful day, calm seas, and excellent visibility.

The second dive at the Key Largo French reef was a truly beautiful experience. The calm ocean surface and clear water promised a perfect day underwater, and it did not disappoint. Upon entering the water, we were greeted by an elusive reef shark, which quickly vanished into the blue. It was a thrilling start to the dive.

As we explored the vast coral formations, we were surrounded by a huge variety of fish. We saw large schools of fishes, their bodies flashing in the sunlight. Also we saw some  hogfish and a brilliant permit

A highlight of the dive was encountering a beautiful green sea turtle resting peacefully on the coral. It was a serene moment to simply observe it in its natural habitat. We were also delighted to find some shy yellowhead jawfish, which surprised us by peeking out from their burrows.

After a wonderful time exploring the vibrant reef, we returned to the boat feeling incredibly happy and fulfilled, grateful to have experienced another fantastic dive.
