After a cold (or hot) and breezy winter in South Florida, what better way to start the summer dive season than a Dive Cruise Getaway to Key West and Nassau! We searched for all the cruises that could meet our criteria for a Getaway: not much time off, good diving, low cost, and something for the non-diver family members.

The Celebrity Refection cruise leaving out of Port Everglades, fits the bill and it can’t get any easier than that. The ship departs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday and returns at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, so you could conceivably only take Friday afternoon off to do this trip. The ship does not offer dive excursions in either port, so the club will arrange two-tank morning dives with local shops that will be booked at an additional cost as we get closer to the sailing date. Fortunately, the ship arrives at 8:00 a.m. at each port and leaves at 5:00 p.m. so there is plenty of time to arrange dives and safely get back to the ship. As an added bonus, this leaves the afternoon to enjoy a late lunch and spend time with non-diver family members at the port.

We have arranged this cruise through our friends at Smart Cruiser so there is an On-Board Credit for all who book this cruise, depending on the cabin you select. As we get closer to the departure date, we will supply more information on how to book the dive operators. In the  meantime, once you have booked your cruise you can select options on board and excursions for your non-diver companions.
