Active Divers 2027 International Dive Trip

Van Der Walk Plaza Beach and Dive Resort, Bonaire

Many of our international divers will recognize this picture: the placard on our reserved beachside table at the Van Der Walk Plaza. For those who have not been to Bonaire, it’s known as the “Shore Diving Capitol of the World” and once you’ve been there you will know why. The map below shows all of the sites and how to get there. There are bright yellow markers along the road with a number on them that indicates which dive site is at that location. That’s why the unlimited shore diving Is so popular in Bonaire.

Fortunately for us, we will have all our dives from a boat unless you want to dive at the very convenient house reef with top notch facilities. 

One of my favorite dive sites is the Salt Pier which is where ships dock to load salt that is produced on the island. The best way to do this dive is as a dusk entry and then explore as the nighttime creatures come out.

On the last trip the club stayed there while they were putting the finishing touches on the spectacular new buffet restaurant. Since then, they have been refurbishing many rooms. In Bonaire, like many of the small Caribbean islands, it is very expensive to dine out, so this all-inclusive resort takes care of that problem since all meals and beverages are included.

6 days two tank AM Dives, 5 days 1 tank PM dives, + unlimited shore diving, total of 17+ dives
